The General Store sells three sheep per year for 333 Sal (male) or 500 Sal (female).

Raising Sheep[]

Sheep are critical in Shepherd's Crossing 2 DS. In order to get married, regardless of gender, you need a large amount of sheep in order to pay the dowry for a spouse.

  • If a player chose the Female Player option at the beginning, they must make Bedcovers.
  • If a player chose to be Male, they must raise many sheep in a flock.

Sheep will eat from the Hay Feed Bin when hungry, which can be filled with Straw, Turnips, Veggie Scrap, or Branches.

Sheep with brown wool

The mating season for sheep is Summer, and the lambs are born and grow relatively quickly. There are four colors of sheep: White wool with light legs and face, White wool with black legs and face, Brown wool with black legs and face, and Black wool with light legs and face. The color of the sheep makes no difference in the quality or actual color of the wool when processed at the Workbench, it will always be white, and the bedcovers will always somehow be blue.

Wool and Shearing[]

Sheep, once fully grown, produce Wool in Spring. You can tell a sheep needs to be sheared, because an icon of a tuft of fur will be above their heads. The easiest way to shear them is to pick them up in your inventory, and then press Y to use the Workbench. You will need Scissors in your inventory or on the Workbench to use them. On the Workbench, you can simply continue selecting the "Sheep Wool" option until you run out of sheep. This will create dirty wool, which can be stacked in a pile of 10. See page on Bedcovers for instructions on how to create them.

Butchering[]

Sheep can be butchered at the Workbench using a cleaver. One adult sheep will produce 5 pieces of Mutton. An old sheep will produce 3.
