Shepherd's Crossing[]
Boar | |

Makes dirty wool.
You can trade feathers or ferret pelts to get a boar. Male boars can be traded for boar meat, which can then be turned into ham or traded for sausages. Sausages can be particularly useful if you are raising a large quantity of dogs/ferrets as sausages can then be traded for marmot, rabbit, or chicken meat.
Shepherd's Crossing 2 DS[]
Boars can be purchased from the General Store for 500 Sal (male) and 750 Sal (female). They eat from the Mixed Feed Bin. The store stocks one male and one female a year. Winter is the mating season for boars, and their offspring is either brown or white. Once fully grown, they can be sold for profit at 1,000 - 1,500 Sal, or processed at the Workbench to make Hanging Meat, Fatty Meat, Intestines, Blood and one piece of Meat. Only the one piece of Meat from a boar can be used to fill Meat Feed Bins, or Salt Meat Barrels, though.
Soap or Lard can be made by processing Fatty Meat at the Cooking Counter .
- One piece of Fatty Meat makes one set of 10 Soap, or one jar with 10 servings of Lard.
Blood can be used to make Blood Soup on the cooking counter by using Lard, Salt, and Garlic.
Intestines can be used to make Sausage by using Meat, Sage, and Salt.
Hanging Meat can be processed with a Cleaver to make Legs and Ribs. Bacon can be made by using Leg Meat and Salt on the Cooking Counter. With a clean Washbasin, you can make ham from the Rib Meat. Then, the meat can be left out to cure, and will not spoil.
Cured Ham or Cured Bacon sells for 300 Sal each, and can be cut into Cut Bacon or Cut Ham to use in recipes like Baked Ham or Bacon Soup.
