Every animal in Shepherd's Crossing has an alternate color pattern. The colors vary between the animals, and some have more then others. Examples of such are white ferrets and pink marmots. It is mentioned in game that diet might have an effect on alternate coloration. Once at black variation in rabbits and marmots, they have both produced offspring of the original color as well as black offspring. This appears to occur at the same or a higher rate then alt colors, perhaps suggesting the alt of an alt is the original. Black marmots also produced another variation of brown.
